ADHESIVES & GROUTS

FLOOR TILE ADHESIVES

Standard flexible powder adhesive is a polymer modified, flexible, standard setting cement based wall and floor tile adhesive with increased adhesion and non-slip properties. It has been specially formulated for fixing a large variety of tiles including ceramic, porcelain and natural stone tiles to substrates subject to limited movement and/or vibration such as plywood overlay, timber framework underfloor heating. Formulated to give an extended bucket life and it sets in about 24 hours.

The rapid set version allows for light foot traffic and grouting after about 3 hours but has a more limited bucket life.

Both versions are available in Grey and White.

Both can be used internally and externally and it is unaffected by frost after setting. It usually comes in comes in 20kg bags which will cover approx. 4 m2.  It is not suitable to use as grouting.

A specific adhesive is used for gypsum based anhydrite screed, (sometimes called flow screed), calcium sulphate screed and gypsum plaster.  It is a flexible adhesive, ideal for fixing tiles to underfloor heating systems. Its rapid setting capability allows for light foot traffic and grouting after 3 hours.  This adhesive is often used to lay ant fracture matting over the gypsum screed.

Wall Tile Adhesives

Wall tile paste adhesive can be used to fix porous bodied ceramic wall tiles and mosaics to many flat, sound interior surfaces, e.g. plaster, plasterboard, cement render, thermal boards etc. It is not suitable for porcelain or large wall tiles.  It is usually water resistant.

Wall tile waterproof paste adhesive can be used to fix ceramic, mosaics and small porcelain wall tiles to many flat, sound interior surfaces, e.g. plaster, plasterboard, cement render, thermal boards etc. It is not suitable for large wall tiles, either ceramic or porcelain.  It is used in wet areas around showers and over baths with showers.

It usually comes in comes in 15kg tubs which will cover approx. 4-5 m2.  It is not suitable to use as grouting.

Grout

Grout 3000 is a highly versatile wall and floor grout.  Grout 3000 is flexible and is suitable for use on surfaces subject to limited movement and/or vibration such as plywood overlay, plasterboard and under floor heating.  Grout 3000 is suitable for grouting a large variety of wall and floor tiles with joint widths between 2mm and 15mm wide.  Grout 3000 has very low permeability making it ideal for use in areas subject to prolonged or permanent wet conditions such as wet rooms and swimming pools.  Grout 3000 is suitable for use internally and externally and is unaffected by frost after setting.

Grout 3000 contains anti mould technology and comes in 9 colours.
